I Can't Believe You Are Leaving Us Like This

We just got back from taking Henry's new favorite person in the world to the airport. His Mamaw. I don't know what we did to get her to give up two weeks of her life to come and take care of all of us, but I hope we do it again sometime. Soon.


Here is what Henry will miss most about his time with her;
Their morning walks
Her singing Fleetwood Mac (or her singing anything for that matter)

The "Eat and Break Away to Smile at Mamaw" game

Here is what Kelsey and Greg will miss most about our time with her;

She did not take us up on our offer of staying here indefinitely. She said something about having a husband and the rest of the family to get back to in Ohio, and that she is not used to living with a heat index of 108 degrees, and her back was hurting from carrying the baby so much, blah, blah, blah...I think she was trying really hard to make stuff up on the spot. She did, however, offer to take Henry back with her. I swear I saw her looking at various pet carriers online and then thought it was fishy when she asked me what Henry's dimensions were. Luckily, there was a terrorist plot foiled yesterday, so no carry-on items were allowed for her flight.

She says she is confident that we are well equipped to go back to caring for Henry and the house by ourselves with two full time jobs and a needy horse-like dog. Clearly she has not been paying attention to my appearance of late. I know, I know we will be just fine. BUT WHY, WHY, SWEET 6.5 POUND INFANT BABY JESUS IN THE MANGER, MUST YOU TAKE AWAY THE MAKER OF THE MAC AND CHEESE?

Next week, we are off to Gramz and Pappy's and the weekend after that, then Mor Mor is coming. We gotta keep getting the grandparent fix!
