Thanks For Letting Us Crash Your Pool, Carrie

So Henry went swimming for the first time yesterday. He finally got to wear the dinosaur swimming ensamble that Erin sent him. He loved the water and looking at the other babies (especially his new bff Jack), but his favorite activity turned out to be chewing on my beachtowel under the covered poolside patio.

In other news of brilliance, we tried to show off by riding around in a float intended for 6-24 month olds. Henry immediately demonstrated how advanced he was by doing a face plant in the water when the raft became a bit unsteady. He came up coughing and spewing water out of his mouth and nose. Though he looked a bit shocked, he did not cry. I promptly removed him from he raft saying something about it being too feminine for him (it did have a big pink flower on it). I don’t think anyone was wise to the fact that his motor skills are more on track with that of a five month old.

SPEAKING of five months old, this Thursday it will be official! More on that in the Thursday post.

Anywho, now that we have discovered swimming, we will need to line up other pools to which we can invite ourselves. Dreiss? Olivia? Molly?

Well, gramma and grampa great have a cool pool that he could learn to swim in- cool meaning the air is less than 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Henry looks like he had a great time, and I just love him in his cool looking outfit. It is apparent to me that he is going to have a love for swimming just like his Aunt Erin does.

No problem. Henry was such a natural.

Please come back, despite the fact that Parker was worried all those babies were mine. We will be working through our issues.

Ok, I have to say everytime I look at that first picture I laugh so hard. That "floatie" that Henry is on looks like a small island. It swallows the poor dude up. Remember: "No man is an Island" except in this case.
