Greetings from Boulder

This is what the view from the third floor balcony at work is. The mountains are nice. And look nicer than this cameraphone image.

This is what I wish the view from the balcony at work was. Notice the placement of my son, Henry, who is currently 568 miles away.

Make sure you try a Yellow Sub sandwich soon. I highly recommend the green turkey. They were in Lawrence and Boulder while I was in school and they are delicious. Enjoy the change of scenery!

Maybe I'm just being crotchety, but it looks like one large pile of dirt. Honestly, I think you could like Boulder. I have an open mind.

We have to travel on Business to the Denver area occassionally. A new project for a customer in that area is threatening to start up in the next 6 months or so.

When I was there before, we drove west from Denver, into the mountains and down into Boulder. I wasn't very impressed with the springtime scenery. However, it looked like Boulder was OK, at least one restaurant was OK with red-brick walls.

What's most important is meeting new friends, good schools, challenging work and cheap beer. Any breweries nearby?

Actually, in the interest of geographic accuracy, Boulder to Austin is more like 1000 miles.
