Two and a Half, Thank You
When you move to a new place (which we seem to do often these days), someone you meet asks you how old your children are at least three times daily. It goes with the territory of being the new people in town.
So, my stock reply has been to say that Henry is two and a half. Yesterday, I realized he's more like "almost three". I'm not entirely sure why, but there is a big difference between the two.
